Matcha means powdered green tea, It contains 135 times more antioxidants than a simple green tea. Unlike green tea, matcha tea leaves are shaded (before harvesting) and this change in sunlight raises the levels of chlorophyll (which is rich in nutrients). Once harvested, the leaves are steamed to stop fermentation that would reduce these elements. After drying, they are grounded with stones that gives us a bright green powder.
